we all hold the potential for happiness
like a precious glass chalice
or a pile of treasure.
some people hold onto their happiness
and don’t share it, but
today, i am not concerned with the greedy.
potential happiness demands a push
to transform into kinetic happiness.
sharing the treasure that is joy,
pushing that pile of treasure to others,
that is the push needed.
speaking with friends is a transfer
of potential happiness
for kinetic happiness.
a common comparison (the thief of joy)
is of a zero sum game to a pie
where there is only so many slices.
here, in this zero sum game,
i choose to delight in the pie
and share my slice of happiness,
for sharing joy brings more joy with no cost.
in this zero sum game,
we call it a zero sum game, only in that
you can sum infinite zeros for free
and sharing happiness is free.
so, my friends, will you engage in this transaction?
it will cost you nothing;
