Tree Whispers

there are whispers in the leaves.
years of growth, hushed memories.
growth from people, growth from trees.
the elders wrote the prompting things.
here i sit, growth from me.
good takes time, brewing tea.
water, tea leaves, not so clear;
memories for another year.
